What is the importance of deadlines? How do high school deadlines reflect or simulate "real world" experience? Give an example of when you met or or didn't meet a deadline that was important.

Deadlines are very important. They are way more important in the "real world" then they are in high school. When you don't meet a deadline at a job they are way less forgiving than your math teacher after you forgot to do your math homework. Not meeting a deadline at a job could cause you to not close a deal, or make it so you miss an extremely important presentation. High schools do try to make deadlines more strict though. Some teaches will not be forgiving if you "forget your project at home", and they will not allow you to turn it in late. I am usually very good at meeting deadlines because I am very organized and I like to get things done on time. I cannot think of a time that I missed an important deadline.
